During his trial, Pedro Varela declares himself innocent and presents himself as a simple bookseller and historian interested in uncovering the truth about the Second World War.
Archive footage, however, shows him years earlier participating in and encouraging acts of Nazi glorification and spreading denialist and racist discourse.
Tales of a Bookseller, with humour and irony, dismantles the logic of a sinister ideology that still persists in our society.

"The documentary 'Tales of a Bookseller' is a short film of only 12 minutes, but with an eloquence worthy of Demosthenes."
El País
"Over the past year and a half the director followed the footsteps of Pedro Varela, and the film traces the defining traits of a contemporary denialist."
