This workshop offers an audiovisual journey through the research materials of the documentary Who Killed Walter Benjamin...: its origins, development, gathered materials and the final decisions made in production and editing. What is included, what is left out, what is said, what is left unspoken.
Drawing on different participants interviewed in the film as case studies, questions arise around the credibility of testimonies and the limits of truth and memory. Do we have the right, as interviewers, to "demand" the truth? And if so, when, and from whom? What should our ethical stance be towards the person we interview?
The workshop becomes a journey through the reverse side of the film. Its B-side.
